ELC was declared in September 1^st 2001 through vice rector III recommendation, by 6 students that participated in 5^th Java Overland English Debating (JOVED) championship before ELC in upon the air.

Mission

1. Make English as second language in Bandung Islamic University environment.

2. Increase the quality of Bandung Islamic University students.

3. Build English positive culture in Bandung Islamic University.

English Learners Community (ELC) is a students activities unit, which is part of a holistic circle in Bandung Islamic University system. English Learners Community (ELC) is under the legacy of language center, vice rector III and students governmental system.

ELC specify the goal of organization into two main goals :

A. external: is to enhance and develop the existence of the organization

B. internal : to improve the member ability in English –referring to ELC motto “we learn, we obtain, we master”- and its include all aspects in mastering English skill.
